Plan light and wind before you climb

Generic weather apps rarely answer the two questions that decide a morning sit: when is legal shooting light at your stand, and will the wind blow your scent into the bedding area? HuntCast is built for those hunter-critical signals.

Legal shooting light (estimates only)

HuntCast can show a live countdown to legal light start and end from stand coordinates, with adjustable pre-sunrise and post-sunset offsets. These times are estimates — not legal advice. Always confirm seasons, zones, and light rules for your state or province before you hunt.

Wind and scent cone ratings

Save stands with preferred wind directions. HuntCast rates current wind as PERFECT, MARGINAL, or BLOWN so you can sit where scent control still works — or stay home when every stand is compromised.
